What are the key benefits of KBDi Membership?
Design is an ever-changing profession, and we see great value in facilitating continued professional development tailored to suit kitchen and bathroom designers. Skill and knowledge seminars are offered at KBDi conferences and design symposiums, and our Education Partner, Designer Training Australia, provides relevant learning opportunities at our local chapter events. Professional Development resources are also made available to members online, ensuring regional members share the same opportunities as our urban members.
From student support (with a dedicated membership category for those studying an approved course) to mentor opportunities to an accreditation program, KBDi offers professional pathways for members who show enthusiasm for and commitment to the kitchen and bathroom design industry.
Design & Business Resources
Good design is good business, and KBDi is here to help your business with:
Contracts: Developed specifically for the K & B Designer for a variety of applications, KBDi contracts provide security for your and your clients. Contracts are exclusively available to current financial KBDi members.
Insurance: Professional indemnity, public liability, personal accident and sickness cover are integral to all good design operations. We’ve forged a great relationship with Cabinet Makers Insurance Brokers (CMIB), who are currently developing products tailor-made for KBDi members.

Engaging with Consumers
Our consumer-targeted website is a ‘one stop shop’ for consumers, with the primary purpose of educating homeowners of the value of engaging professional designers. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to this site with informative news articles and picture galleries. Your potential new clients will recognise you as an industry authority, and have confidence in engaging your services.
Home Show Representation
KBDi participates in a number of Home Shows across the country. Members are invited to join KBDi’s ‘Ask an Expert’ stands to share their skills and knowledge. You’ll meet renovation-ready clients and build a bank of leads, and enjoy the results of Home Show exposure with no out-of-pocket expenditure.
KBDi are consistently approached by various media outlets to contribute to home design features. We always use these opportunites to promote ‘Australia’s Finest’ designers, ensuring our members are positioned as leaders in the field. We have a long-standing relationship with Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly, too; KBQ continue to promote KBDi’s members in their popular magazine.
We’ve built a strong design community where members can meet like-minded designers and the industry’s finest reps. Our new Affiliate Membership encourages businesses who provide various services to kitchen and bathroom designers to join us at events, too, enabling a broad and useful range of business-to-business networking at our local, national and international events.
