Introducing the Multitap 4N1 Ambient

A message from our Premier Partners, Multitap

Designed and manufactured in Italy, the Multitap range offers stylish tapware for modern kitchens.

The reasons we fall in love with Italian products is their Passion and Purpose and Multitap is a testament to this commitment. We are proud to be able to offer instant filtered water as a function of a standard kitchen tap mixer.

The All-in-One tapware designs complement kitchen integration whilst offering the convenience of instant filtered steaming hot water, filtered ambient water and regular hot and cold water all out of the one tap.

The innovative illuminated touch control releases filtered ambient water, ideal for filling glasses or larger bottles or jugs of water. The multi-step safety lever releases steaming hot water ideal for instant hot drinks or reducing meal preparation times.

Easy to install, the Multitap 4N1 Ambient range is available in two designs, the J Shape and the L Shape, in three finishes, chrome, brushed steel and the impressive matte black.  The matte black has a PVD finish offering a high quality and more durable surface less susceptible to scratching or fading.

The underbench unit connected to the all-in-one tapware is compact and can be attached to the inside wall of your cupboard so precious space can still be used inside the cupboard.

The Multitap 4N1 range has a 5 year tap warranty & 2 year tank warranty for peace of mind.

Behind the scenes scoop on the Laminex Colour Collection 2021

Behind the scenes scoop on the Laminex Colour Collection 2021

Participants in this week’s KBDi PD Tuesday were privy to a ‘behind the scenes’ scoop on the Laminex Colour Collection 2021.

Laminex Product Design Manager, Neil Sookee, shared the nature-inspired drivers behind the Living Pigments collection.

From the sunburnt hues of ochre and terracotta to the sandy tones of beaches and deserts, the collection reflects the longing for nature we’ve developed over the last 18 months. We especially loved the new full-bodied greens – Hushed Pine and Olivine – evocative of foliage and forests.

We were also delighted to see how the Living Pigments colour collection paired with the Calm Character line (like the Hushed Pine and Manhattan Concrete above). The ten new Laminex decors celebrate the natural, textural beauty of marble, terrazzo and timber. View the full range here.

Last but not least, Members loved the design potential of the Surround by Laminex wall linings. The pre-primed sheets are made in Australia with raw MDF and a clever tongue and groove system. With a contemporary and classic range, the panels will have many exciting applications, and we can’t wait to see them in our Members’ feeds and folios. Discover the full range of products here.

If you love to know more about the ‘hows and whys’ of new decors, we encourage you to check out the recording of this session. Neil and the Laminex team shared some fantastic stories about the inspiration behind the latest colours and textures and the formula Laminex use when adding new lines. They shared insights into the manufacturing processes and impacts of Covid-19 on supply and reminded us of the excellent sampling available for specifiers. You’ll find this recording in your exclusive KBDi Members Portal.

Staron® Solid Surfaces is manufactured by Lotte Chemical from a safe natural mineral refined from bauxite and blended with pure acrylic resin to create a high performance solid surface. Staron® Solid Surfaces does not contain harmful silica. With a range of over 90 colours to select from, Staron® offers an extensive range of solid surface.

One of the great advantages of Staron® is that it can be moulded and curved into any design or structure through a process called thermoforming. This process allows three-dimensional designs to come to life. Virtually any shape can be formed with Staron®.

This creative process of design can result in endless interesting design possibilities. Wall panels can be curved, countertops can join inconspicuously around soft curves, and custom design vanities can be a feature with smooth rounded designs.

Create unique curved surfaces or make the waves of your project twist into a concept that creates impact. Walls can gently or dramatically curve and retail counters can curve into interesting designs.

The flexibility of Staron® extends to limitless edge profiles, drop down edges, splashbacks and tile coves. Selected Staron® colours are also translucent and can be backlit to bring your design to life.

Staron® is non-toxic, Greenguard® and Greenguard® Gold certified, Eco-Specifier certified so you can specify Staron® with the peace of mind that you are providing a material that will create a healthy project environment.

The non-porous nature of Staron® means that no stain is ever permanent, providing a durable surface that is hygienic and easy to clean. Staron® is also repairable and renewable. Even after years of use it can simply be sanded and restored back to its original condition. Staron® does not have any finishing polishes or sealers applied; it is the same solid material throughout its thickness. It creates long and wide continuing surfaces with no open or conspicuous joins.

No dirt trapping joins or crevices to clean, just one continuous surface that looks and performs as one piece. Staron® Solid Surfaces achieves a Group 1 Fire Certificate result to AS56371.1 and is backed by a 10-Year Warranty for peace of mind.

Beauty of natural stone with performance benefits of solid surface

Beauty of natural stone with performance benefits of solid surface

A message from our Corporate Partner, Austaron

The design criteria for this kitchen space was for it to be a contemporary, clean design while also having warmth and being easy to live and cook in. Using a selection of materials to create the design, the owners wanted a benchtop and splashback material that would perform well but also have a beautiful aesthetic. Staron® Solid Surfaces in colour Supreme Cotton White was selected as it provided an inviting feel to the kitchen and eliminated the need for any open joins due to the joining properties of the material. With soft veining emulating the look of a natural stone, while providing the non-porous and stain resistant performance benefits of a solid surface. The non-toxic, silica free, Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certification also make Staron® Solid Surfaces a safe and hygienic surface solution for endless applications throughout the home. The crisp white surface complements the warm colours of the cabinetry materials and the industrial polished concrete flooring. The overall result is a stunning kitchen space that has a minimalist design with interesting character and a functional design.
