Formerly known as Denfair, the new-look Design Show will offer plenty of inspiration and professional development for kitchen and bathroom professionals. We’re proud to be putting six of our members on the speaker stage, and encourage you to check out their sessions if you’re planning on heading to the fair.
Layering Light in the Kitchen
Adele Locke is founder, director and designer at leading Melbourne firm, Mint Lighting Design. She’s an expert in things ‘luminaire’ and a truly enlightening educator. In this session, Adele will cover the three key areas of accent, ambient and task lighting, all in the context of kitchens.

Euro Show Highlights: iSalone 2022
Wish you could have made it to Milan this year? While most of us have had to keep our noses to the grindstone, a fortunate few took a trip to Europe to visit Salone del Mobile Milano. Mel Gardener was one of these travellers and she’ll be sharing her favourite fair finds in this session. Melwill take us on a virtual tour, highlighting her top trends and themes from iSalone 2022.
Mel will be speaking at 12.15 pm on Thursday, 20 October.
Master Suite Must-Haves
Walk-in-robes and main bedroom bathrooms are rapidly being replaced with well-designed and highly specified ‘master suites’. In this session, Sydney designer, Sally Hart, will draw on her decades of experience to share the must-haves of a magnificent master suite.
Sally will be on the stage at 1.45 pm on Thursday, 20 October. She’ll be back at the Show on Saturday, 22 October, speaking to both designers and consumers at 1.45 pm.
Using well-constructed 3D renders for communication and cost efficiency
In this session, 3D render specialist, Aaron Meyer, will share the most-often made mistakes he sees in computer-generated 3Ds, and step you through the various ways you can create renders that will save you time and money.
Aaron will be speaking at 3.15 pm on Thursday, 20 October, and will be back on stage at 10.45 am on Friday, 21 October.
Progressive Kitchen Design
Award-winning designer, Gavin Hepper CKD Au, will discuss design functionality and explore how this continues to progress and change with our lifestyles and the advancement in materials. You’ll learn how to ensure that your kitchen designs are fit for purpose and built for longevity.
Gavin will be on the K & B stage on Friday, 21 October at 12.15 pm, and later the same day for a fantastic panel discussion. He’ll return to the show on Saturday and will be speaking at 3.15 pm.
Surviving a Kitchen or Bathroom Reno
Living through a kitchen or bathroom reno can be a challenge for the best of us. In this session, experienced designer Matt Michel will share his top tips for helping homeowners survive the experience and achieving the optimum end result.
Matt will be speaking to both trade pros and a consumer audience when the show opens to the public on Saturday, 22 October.
