KBDi Members enjoyed some excellent opportunities to position themselves as industry experts at the recent Sydney Home Show.

With their varying backgrounds and areas of specialty, our Members spoke on a range of topics to an engaged audience of reno-ready consumers. At the end of each session, Members had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with potential clients, and some are already reaping the rewards of their efforts.

Andrew Wright CKD Au CBD Au

Andrew Wright is an industry certified kitchen and bathroom designer with more than four decades of design and manufacturing experience. His career kicked off with a cabinetmaking apprenticeship, but a passion for practical and aesthetically pleasing design soon saw him transition from the tools to the drafting board. Andrew has a wealth of kitchen and bathroom design knowledge and an impressive collection of well-deserved awards. 

Kitchen and Bathroom Designers – DOs and DON’Ts

With over forty years of kitchen and bathroom design experience, industry certified designer, Andrew Wright CKD Au, CBD Au, will share his most often encountered DOs and DON’Ts in these much-used interior spaces.

Matt Michel

Matt Michel’s career began with the attainment of a Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design UTS) and has transitioned to kitchen, bathroom and interior design. His highly-regarded business has operated in Castlecrag on Sydney’s North Shore – and more recently in Sydney’s Northern Beaches – for over 15 years, and his early design education combined with a passion for home renovation has led to many innovative residential design solutions.

Surviving a Kitchen or Bathroom Reno

Living through a kitchen or bathroom reno can be a challenge for the best of us. In this session, experienced designer Matt Michel will share his top tips for surviving the experience and achieving the optimum end result.

Sally Hart

A well-organised robe and professionally detailed dressing room can add a whole new level of luxe to your life. In this session, experienced designer, Sally Hart, will share her secrets to designing functional and fabulously-styled storage solutions.

Tameka Moffat

Tameka Moffat was born and raised in the building industry and is rightfully proud of the strong reputation she’s developed with her business, Tameka Moffat Designs. The award-winning, Sydney-based studio boasts a diverse portfolio of work. From high-end residential and multi-residential projects to hospitality and corporate developments, the studio has produced a stunning collection of sophisticated, refined and award-winning interiors.

KBDi Certified Kitchen Designer, Gavin Hepper CKD Au, has almost three decades of trade and industry experience under his belt. He has successfully combined his practical know-how with a pure passion for stylish design, and as the Creative Director of the bespoke interior design studio, Concepts by Gavin Hepper, he’s accumulated an impressive collection of state, national and international awards.

Settle in for an up-close look at some of Australia’s classiest kitchens. Experienced and multi-award winning designer, Gavin Hepper CKD Au, will share his folio of fabulous designs and his top tips for creating a kitchen with class.

Maddalena Fiorasi

Maddalena Fiorasi studied architecture in Venice before working in Europe for several years. When she moved to Australia, Maddalena pursued her passion for residential design and has been bringing beauty into countless Sydney homes since. Maddalena’s talent was recognised by industry and peers in 2021 when she earned the national title of the KBDi Australian Kitchen Designer of the Year.
