To celebrate 10 years, Schweigen, pioneers of silent rangehoods, ran a national photo contest offering entrants a chance to win a seven-night escape for two in Bali. The competition invited customers to submit a photo of their Schweigen silent rangehoods.

Fiona Dimasi from Victoria was announced winner on Monday 4 December. Her kitchen (pictured) includes a Schweigen Wallmount Designer Rangehood. Modern, sleek and beautiful, this stunning unit will enhance any kitchen.

The unit is a particular favourite with those who prepare Asian meals, as it quickly and efficiently removes steam and greasy fumes. Placing the motor system externally immediately eliminates the noise.

Fan speed is still controlled by the selector switches on the front of the canopy hence we now have a truly silent canopy and a quantum leap in extraction unit technology. The powerful motor system enables you to remove all odours at the lowest and quietest speed setting.

“We received hundreds of fantastic entries from Schweigen customers across the country. It was a tough decision, but in the end we all agreed that Fiona’s kitchen was a stand-out. A huge thanks to everyone who entered. It was great to see customers enjoying their silent rangehoods,” said Managing Director, Anthony Fletcher.

The first 20 submissions also received a signed copy of Mal Corboy’s Kitchen and Designs recipe book. Best known as New Zealand’s most awarded kitchen designer, Mal Corboy has been designing kitchens since 1988. Mal is the brand ambassador for Schweigen.
