Announcing the 2024 KBDi Design Awards Judging Panel

May 15, 2024 | KBDi Awards

We had a fantastic response to our sixteenth annual awards program and are very excited to get the judging underway.

We’ve bundled up your entries and sent them to our two panels (one for the primary awards and another for certified categories).

We’ll introduce our Certified Judges next week, but today, meet our esteemed 2024 KBDi Design Awards judging panel:

DA2024_Naomi Findlay

Naomi Findlay

Naomi Findlay is the principal of Findlay & Co. and an experienced interior designer, project manager, stylist and educator. She has won multiple awards for her design work and regularly contributes to media outlets like Your Investment Property, Interiors Addict and Sky News Real Estate. Naomi has co-hosted the Channel 9 series Chasing Rooms and Location Lifestyle Living and was an interior design expert on Channel 10’s The Home Team. Having renovated more than 130 homes and commercial spaces, Naomi has an excellent eye for detail and a natural instinct for good design, and we’re thrilled to have her on the team.

DA2024_Damian Hannah

Damian Hannah

Damian Hannah owns and manages German Kitchens Limited, based in Wellington, New Zealand. He has a National Diploma in Kitchen Design (NKBA) and holds the highest membership tier with NKBA as an Elite Designer. Damian specialises in creating individual bespoke spaces and has won over 50 National and International Design Awards and Accolades with his German Kitchens team. He’s an experienced judge and an absolute asset to the KBDi 2024 Design Awards panel.

DA2024_Sam Robinson

Sam Robinson CKD Au, CBD Au

Sam Robinson is a Certified Designer based in Melbourne and a much-loved member of the KBDi community. While kitchens and bathrooms are her forte, Sam has enjoyed working on many extraordinary projects in her thirty-plus years in this industry. She recently completed all aspects of the design and decoration of a multi-faceted trauma centre in Sydney, where the psychology of colour and sensitivity to the requirements of the space were paramount. The project drove home to Sam the absolute value of well-designed spaces, and she’s looking forward to seeing how KBDi members have created havens in their clients’ homes. While we’ll miss seeing Sam’s work in the field of finalists, we’re delighted to have her on this side of the judging panel in 2024.

We wish our judges the best of luck in narrowing down an exceptionally impressive field.

Finalists will be announced during the week beginning 17 June.
