KBDi Designer Awards 2023 | Australia’s Top 5 Kitchens

Aug 30, 2023 | KBDi Awards, Kitchen Design

On 19 August, the KBDi community celebrated Australia’s finest kitchen and bathroom designers at a glorious Gala event at the Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane. In this feature, we’re sharing the five fabulous kitchens that earned their designers the State Titles of KBDi Kitchen Designer of the Year.

KBDi Kitchen Designer of the Year NSW

Hilary Ryan | Impala Kitchens & Bathrooms

The KBDi Designer Awards 2023 Kitchen Categories were proudly sponsored by Hettich Australia. Bobby Salami, Queensland Specification & Business Development Manager at Hettich Australia, was on stage to present the state titles, and he’s pictured here with Hilary.

The judges loved Hilary’s overall submission. The original concept was well presented, and the response to the brief was on point. The documentation was clear and comprehensive, and the product and material selections resulted in a very beautiful kitchen.

Olivia Cirocco | GIA Renovations

Sometimes small kitchen spaces need extra big ideas, and the designer certainly delivered in this instance. The judges admired Olivia’s thoughtful planning and out-of-the-square solution for a limited space. They loved the material selections and commended the designer on a job well done.

KBDi Kitchen Designer of the Year WA

Alysia Pekel CKD Au | Western Cabinets

The original kitchen footprint was far too tight for this family of foodies. The designer borrowed space from an unused dining room to help deliver a long wish list for the keen cooks and bakers. The concept was well presented, and the plan set was A+. And a beautiful selection of finishes made the project an all-round winner.

Ashley Maddison | AM Interior Studio

With its beautiful textural layering, soft colour palette and exceptional space planning, this kitchen was a favourite with the KBDi Designer Awards judging panel. The project looks fabulous from every angle, but with the designer’s careful planning, it’s more than just a pretty picture.
