Introducing the inaugural Kitchen + Bath Show: Australia’s Premier Design Trade Show

Nov 21, 2023 | Industry News

National Media (Design Show fame) are excited to announce the launch of an independent kitchen and bath show. The inaugural Kitchen + Bath Show will debut in Sydney on 13-15 June 2024 as a distinguished brand, transitioning from its former Kitchen + Bath Zone at Design Show Australia. This newly launched event will be tailored to Australia’s thriving kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and home storage industry, and we’re delighted to be a part of the program.

As an industry group dedicated to kitchen and bathroom design, KBDi has long recognised the value of these spaces. We’re delighted to see a home-grown, stand-alone kitchen and bathroom show developing. We’re thrilled to partner with the Kitchen + Bath Show and can’t wait to see our design and manufacturing communities mingling with world-class suppliers at this event.

Co-located for a Comprehensive Design Showcase
The Kitchen + Bath Show will be held concurrently with the prestigious ArchiBuild Expo, a leading showcase for architectural building products and systems, and Design Show Australia, a sought-after marketplace for contemporary interior design and furniture. This co-location offers immense value to attendees in terms of diversity, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, retailers, cabinet makers, joiners, designers, architects, fit-out professionals, property developers and building professionals.

Meeting Industry Demand
Amidst the evolving dynamics of the Australian housing market, there is a growing demand for well-designed kitchens and bathrooms. The influx of new housing stock into the market has intensified the need for modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Simultaneously, the inclination towards renovating and enhancing existing living spaces has steadily increased. The Kitchen + Bath Show acknowledges these shifting trends and anticipates the industry’s imperative to stay innovative and responsive.

Event Manager Ash North reasons that “The increased demand for both new installations and renovation projects is precisely why this is the right time for a dedicated event to be brought to market”. The Kitchen + Bath Show stands as a pivotal gathering point for industry professionals and enthusiasts seeking to stay at the forefront of the kitchen and bath design landscape.

National Media Portfolio Director Andy Vaughan said, “The team have used the past 12 months to talk to both the buying and selling key players in this sector, and the appetite for a show is evident, particularly as this new expo will sit alongside National Media’s already established portfolio of premier design events – Design Show Australia and ArchiBuild Expo. This is another key step to building Australia a stable of design trade shows it can be proud of, and that puts it on the global design map where it can comfortably sit”.

Industry Support
Industry support has been strong, with many Australian and International brands already committed to showcasing their new ranges at the event.

“As an established exhibitor at The Design Show, Blum Australia is looking forward to continuing to support the industry by joining the new and dedicated trade event, Kitchen + Bath Show in 2024. The exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest range, and we are looking forward to working together with customers to create well-thought-out furniture for everyone.” – Rachael Davis, Marketing Manager – Partnerships and Communications, Blum

“The Design Show has consistently provided us with a fantastic platform to showcase our products, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to continue our partnership by joining the new Kitchen + Bath Show in 2024. This new chapter is a testament to the Design Show’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the design industry.” – Holli Benson, Marketing Manager, Timberline

“This event is great for everyone in the industry.” – Wayne Viles, MD Unox Casa.

The Kitchen + Bath Show marks a pivotal moment in the industry’s evolution, offering a platform for collaboration, innovation, and growth. We invite all kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and home storage stakeholders to join us at this incredible event in 2024.
